At the close o( the poll it was found that Cadet Robert Wilson' Ellis had the majority of votes, Cadet John. P. Fartiuharson being second. The boys were then assembled oil the upper dcclt, and, after a few' sympathetic and inspiriting words from Mr. If.illey and Captain Whitehead, Cadet Ellis was introduced to .the committee as the King's. Gold Medallist for 1920, and Cadet Farquharson as the winner of the Tate Prize, both boyj receiving the congratulations of. the members of the committee and a round of hearty cheers from tlieir comrades. Cadet FarquharsOn is the son of Captain .and Mrs. Farquharson, Erkless, Annan. Master Ellis is a l ephew of Mr, .Tamos Baird, merchant, of Trafalgar Street, Nelson.
