The special committee set up by the House of Representatives to consider the Marriage Amendment Bill is to meet tomorrow for the election of a chairman and the consideration of the order of business. This Bill contains the new clause, inserted by the Legislative Council, Tela ting to the Roman Catholic Church's view of marriage. A proposal will bo made that the committee shall admit Press reporters to its prooeedinfta while evidence is being taken. A considerable amount of evidence haa to be heard- by the committee, and the end of the session will not be far avray by the time the committee makes its report.
