SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

At tho Sailors" Friend Society on Thursday Mr. T. E. Jones presented a bright programme. The performers were Mrs. L. C. Wallker, Misses Peggy Jones, Asbenden, and J. Lewis, and Mossrs. T. E. Jones, Val Jones, J. Dodds. Howard, Kelly, SccVy. Mrs. L. C. Walker was at tlio pianci. Mr. Moore, from the chair, bid God-fipccd to Captains Barnsdale, late of tt;e Amoknra, who leaves with Mrs. Barnsdale to-day for Picton. He asked theiv acceptance of small tokens of esteem and \nshed_ them happiness, on behalf of the audience. Mr. 11. T. Johns supported him. Tlio prizes for' tlio compositions oanie from Mr. 11. T. Johns «nd Miss Lewis, and went to tlio Tort Napier, Port Almo, and Athenic.
