Tho weekly meeting of the Management Committee of tho Wellington Football Association was held on Wednesday, Mr. W. Auld presiding. In connection with the public schools' competition it was decided that the throe leading teams—Marlßt (N.), Marist (T.l, and Island Bay—play oil for the shfeid. Numerous entries were rocelved for the schools' sfx-a-sido, to be played on October 1, at 2'p.m., on Association Park, and It was decided to run an A and B competition. Association Park was allotted Georgo Doughty and Co. for a houso match with P. Hayman and 00., on Saturday next. Further applications for house matches wero held over till next meeting. Permission was granted Y.M.O.A. fourth-olass team to journey to Ohrlstchuroh on October 9 to play a , game in that city. SCHOOLS' ;SIX-A-SIDE TOUENAMENT. Tlie Management Committeo of the Wellington Football Association attained considerable success by tho above tournament held- on Association Park yesterday afternoon. Tho competition was played in two grados, A and B, ten teams entering for each. The weather was glorious, and keen interest was taken in tho games by a largo crowd of spectators, especially in the finals. Porirua, who had played brilliant football, wero beaten by Marist (N.) in the A grado by 1 goal to nil. Island Bay School deserved their win over Marist tho B grade, their football right through the competition being always bright. The games were controlled by Messrs. F. Bowles, F. Kirk, A. E. Wells, W. Ferkins," and W. . Arthur, and tho scorers were Brother Louis and W. Arthur. Following aro results of matches played:— A Grade (first round): Marist (N.), 3, beat Newtown, 3 goals; Worser Bay beat South Wellington, 2 goals 1 corner. Sccond round: Worser Bay beat Marist N. (3), 1 goal: Marist N. (2) beat Marist T. (1). 1 goal; l'orlrua beat Marist N. (1), 1 iroai 3 corners; Marist T. (2) beat Island Bay, 2 goals to 1 goal 3 corners. Semi-finals: Marist N.
