The. Prime Minister stated in the House last night that the Governor-General would stay in Wellington until after the session. He would then go to Chnstohurch for some weeks, and afterwards would go to Auckland, while alterations wens made at tho Government House in Wellington; Somo alterations had to be i made at the Auckland Government House, at a cost, probably, of a few hundred pounds. The alterations required at ths Wellington residence would cost several thousand pounds. They could not be commenced until the GovernorGeneral left after the session.
