THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for moderate, to strong southerly and westerly winds, and cool, changeable weather generally, with scattered showers. Barometer . rising, but unsteady in the south. Heavy rain and floodß have occurred in tho middle and East Coast districts of the North Island, and cold, unsettled weather has been experienced generally. Conditions, however, have moderated to-dny in many parts, southerly winds decreasing Tho barometer has risen since this morning. 0. BATFB, , Director.
