THE MOANA TROUBLE
CREW PAID OPE YESTERDAY. Yesterday tho crew of the Moana were paid off and tho vessel is at present laid up here. Tho Union Company decided to pay tho men off when they fs.iled to reach a settlement between tho stewards and the firemen, over tho chief cooft. It is understood that tho company will endeavour to take the Moana to fort Chalmers and lay her up there.
