He was a middle-aged man and married, lie escaped from tho institution last night, and early thih morning, when an attendant was walking along tho railway lino to resume his duties at tho hospital, lie discovered the body o[ deceased, badly mutilated, having apparently boon run over by an early goods train. After taking the ovidsncc of hospital officials, tho inquest was adjourned to Dunedin i'-.t tho evidence of railway officials.
