The Carterton Bowling Club has decided to open tho season on October 14. The following have been elected officers of the Wairarapa Automobile , Association's insurance scheme for the ensuing year: Directors, Messrs. F. W. Smith, W. A. Hutton, F. C. Bunny, A, Donald; treasurer, Mr. E. M'lntyro; auditor, Mr. J. M. M'Kenzie; secretary, Mr. T. V. Wilson. During tho past year 129 cars were insured at a liability of J!28,880, compared with .£23,735 the previous year.
