The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Hawera branch, report for week ending September 25:— At Opunako on Monday wu had a good warding, particularly of dairy cattle, tor the latter, bidding ™as briß,t for K ood Borts. We quote: Fat and forward cowa, £9 17b.; store cows. £5 16s. to £6 Mb.; dairy cowb, £12 to £16 10s.; Bpringmg heifers, Jersey, £21 ss. to £21 10s.; other breeds (good Borts), £16 10a. to £18; others, £12 to £14 10b. On Tuesday, at Mana-ii, we quote: Fresh conditioned cowb, to £8 12s. id.; medium ditto, to £5; springing heifers (good quality), to £20; others, £10 10s to £13 ss. At Palmer lload, on Inday, we had a fair 1 yarding of all classes of Block. Bidding was fairly brisk throughout, and we disposed of the whole yarding at late quotations. We quoie: Fat and forward cows, £8 10b. to £12 lie.; medium ditto, £5 ss. to £6 55.; others, to £4; yearling heifers (good quality), £5 12s ; others, to £4- springing heifers (good sorts), £17 to £20; others £ 2 Sj. to f M 10s. Messrs. Abraham and Williams,. Ltd. report :-At Feildinj on September 24 a good yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward. Hoggets wue slighly easier from previous sales Wo' Quote :»Sh-3op. Crossbred hoggets, 20fl. 7d., 82s. 9d. to 278. 6d.; wether hoggets. 265._ 9d. to Si 8. 6d ewe hoggets, 255. 9d. to Jos. Id.; ewef, with lambs, to £2 to. 2d.; empty ewes, to 275.
