BANK RATES TO BE RAISED
RELEASE OF STOCKS OF GOODS AIMED AT. London, September 25. It is reported that the Bank rate will be raised in the near future. Tho decision has'been taken in the hope that large stocks of goods at present held back will be marketed! thus reducing prices. It is stated that the Treasury is determined to muko a serious effort to restrict the activities of speculators and compel merchants to disgorge their accumulated stocks—Reuter.
