BOTH PAETIES ACTIVE IN SCOTLAND. ■ (Roc. September 27, 8.35 p.m.) London, September 27. Temperance reformers m Scotland continue to resent the intention of Mr. W. E. Johnson ("Pussyfoot'.) to assist the prohibition campaign in Scotland, saying that they are getting along quite well without American orators. the campaign will end in November, when elections will be 'held in every ward where 10 per cent, of the electa ask for a poll under the Scottish Temperance Act.. These • poll- requisitions will be handed iu on Thursday. MaJry" areas are not troubling in the matter,'but temperance reformers im Glasgow and other big centres are aotive. The '"Pussyfoots expeot to win a quarter of the Glasgowwards. The publicans meanwhilo are active. For inonthgjjvery. bottle ot beer has carried a label warning tho voters against apathy.
