NO OFFICIAL LABOUR NOMINEES. The Labour Representation Committee has decided not to nominate candidates for the by-election caused by the resignation from the City Council of Councillors Shorlnnd and M'Konzie. The executive of the Eastern Suburbs League desire to make it clear that they have not at any stage endorsed the action of Councillors Shorland and M'Kenzie in resigning. Their object was to have the two councillors returned unopposed and so avoi4 another election.
