Several of the youngsters will be supported in the Debutante Stakes, notably National (Absurd—Ko\yai), who is credited with being very fast in private, linmbolt, Pauuche, and Kick Off will also come in for support. lionetter may be the favourite in the ITigtrie Handicap, and White Banger in the Hack Hurdles, Big fields are encaged in ail the events at the Avondale Meeting, which is to open to-day. In the imp. It is difficult to forecast tho favourite, but public choice may fall on Marquetpur, which Ib to be piloted by Gray. Thj chestnut gelding will be at home on the soft track. Gasbag is another that will be well in tho market/ Mermln (Absurd—Sea. Elf) and Lady Violet (Bonifnrt—Vico Heine) may bo the best backed in'the Avondale Stakes. The latter hails from Trentham, and Is well forward. Her trainer has specialised in teaching her to negotiate the turns, and this should stand to her on a track like Avondale.
The Flvine Handicap is a very op»tt and mveral of the runners will be well backed, including Statuette, King Abbey, and Delight.
