THE COUNCIL OF ACTION
LABOUR LETTER TO PRIME MINISTER, With respect to the ftcent discussion in Parliament regarding tho dispatch of messages to the Council of Action' by Labour members, the secretary of the Wellington Trades and Labour Council (Mr. ,T. M.' Camplvll) has forwarded the following letter to tho Prhne Minister (Right noil. W. P. Massey) "1 am instructed by tho above council to forward to you the following resolution passrd at its last meeting' That tluis council endorses tho message sent by tho representatives of Labour in thu Parliament of New Zealand, to tho United Labour Conference, in England in roforenco to tlw Council of Action. Further, this council is in hearty agreement with the aims and objects of the said Council of Action.'
"It is felt to be extremely regrettable that the political prejudices of tho Prime Minister of this Dominion nre such ai to allow him to mako a statement in respect to Labour's representatives which is not liorno out 'by actual faet,. It can bo truthfully affirmed that tho trades councils and' the trade unions throughout the Dominion hnvo every confidence in their representatives in Parliament,"
