Comparing tho years 1913 and 1918-19, the Commonwealth's output had decreased by 20 per cent., and the values of such output wore IGIJ trillions in 1913 and 127 millions to-day. Tho aim under wheat had decreased by 3,200,000 acres; cattlo had decreased by 100,000 head, sheep by 10 millions, wool bv 50 million pounds weight, and butter by 17 million pounds. If prices had remained unchanged, the value of tho general product for 1918-19 would havo been 177$ millions compared with 213J millions in 1913—Press Assn. DEARER CLOTHING AND FOOTAVEAE.
