EDUCATION MINISTER VISITS BLENHEIM
Ear Telegraph—Preso Association. Blenheim, 1 September 21. The Hon. C. J. Parr (Minister of Education) arrived last night from Nelson and was accorded a civic reception. He was waited upon by a deputation which asked for two now primary soliool sites in place of the present one, also additional! class-room Accommodation and a hostel for the Marlborough College. The Minister was also request-, ed to bring before Cabinet the desirableness of the early completion of the South Island Main Trunk railway, and a road to link up Blenheim with Westport. To-day the Minister is visiting the schools and college, and will open a new public maternity hospital. He returns to Wellington to-night.
