(From Our Own Correspondent.) Carterton, September 18.' The monthly meeting of the Wairarapa Riid East Coast P. and A. Society was held at Carterton to-day, Mr. J. Ilodder (president) being in the chair. The treasurer reported a debit 'balance of iSllr, 11s. 9d.; receipts since last meeting, ,£l3l 9s. 2d. Accounts totalling ;El2l 10s. 9d. were pnssed for payment. Mr. R. ,T. Dunn, of Normanby, wrote ...agreeing to judge in the .Torsey section, and'Sfr.'. A. 11. Daniells, Masterton, the ' concrete poste. It was'decided to call tenders for the : show privileges. J. The question of improving Noble Street .was left to tho Ground Committee, ■ Thirty-one-new members were elected find two resignations were accepted. It wa3 decided to have a set of hurdles in placn of the bridge in the dog trials. It was resolved to ask Mr. J. W. Kersliaw< of Martinboroiigh, to judge the motor-car trade exhibit. " Mr. H. Clark was appointed a steward in the horse section, and Mr. J. Broad a steward in the Lincoln sheen section. The Clydesdale Forsn Society wrote statirig'that the British Society's two gold medals for this season bad been allotted ■. to tlie Waikato Association, and that the winner of the Union Cup to be competed for at the Wairarapa Show would receive .. a silver medal. ... The Department of Agriculture intimated that an officer of the society would be present at the show to examine stock,
