POLICIES OF NATIONALIST AND OPPOSITION PARTIES. Brisbane, September 18. In view of the forthcoming elections, Mr. Barnes, Leader of the Nationalists, has outlined the party's policy. Tlio chief planks are: No increase in taxation; no retrenchment; reduction of tho membership of the Assembly to fifty, and of the Legislative Council to thirty; adult suffrage for the elections of both Houses; the appointment of Ministers of Labour and Health; freehold tenure; and increased immigration. Mr. Vowles, Leader of the Opposition, lias disclosed the ohief planks of his party, as a policy of encouragement of primary and secondary industries, the removal of the railways from political control, and the placing of the whole of the sugar industry under Federal control—Press A6sn.
