The whole-hearted efforts of the Wellir.gkm Patriotic Band (late Jupp's) in assisting the many patriotic organisations and numerous funds in aid of our sick and wounded soldiers are to be recognised this evening in the form of a big. benefit entertainment at the Grand Opera House in aid of a fund for the purchase of new uniforms for the memhera of the"'band:' The entertainment, which, has been organised Ijy Mr. Reginald Rex, promises to be uncommonly .'attractive. The contributors to the programme, will comprise: Mr. Hamilton Hodges (songs), ■ the prize-winning boy cop'ranos, Masters Jack and Cecil Watters (songs), Miss Isabel Halligan and W. A. Spencer (one act play), the Smith-, swians (songs, bv courtesy of Mr. Walter Fuller), Miss Hardingc-Maltby (recitation), Mr- P. X. Brady (song), Mr. M. Tracey and pupils (horizontal liar and hand-lxvlancing, nnd' electric club-swing-ing), Miss Lily O'Leary (dnnce), Mr. W. Leek .-(lightning sketches), Mr. William Simmer (comic songs and dance), Mr. Knnte Wood (character song), Miss Dons Stevens' (song), Mr. F.Andrews (songand dance), and the Patriotic Band fa march).
