RENOWN'S PAST TRIP THROUGH PANAMA CANAL. Colon, September 14. The Renown passed through tho Panama Canal to-day, making a fast trip of seven hours. She traversed Gatun Lake at a speed of, eighteen knots. Tho Culebra Cut has been much deepened since the Renown's outward yoyage, and there is now an ample margin of depth in the event of landslides. The Prince disembarked at Gatun, accompanied by his staff, and went tarpon fishing with a local expert. After taking in oil the Renown will leave at daybreak to-morrow.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assu.
