The third annual festival of tho Wellington Competitions Society will com-' menco at the Grand Opera House en Tuesday morning next, and continue morning afternoon, and evening for a period of seventeen days. The efforts of the local committee to provide suitable classes'' for competition, have again met with a most satisfactory response from' 1 students of music, elocution, and dancing, ISO!) entries having been received from all parts of the Dominion. The society has been fortunate in obtaining the services of Mr. Gordon Lovers, of 'Sydney, as musical adjudicator, and Sir. Stanley Warwick, also of Sydney, as judge of elocution. The box pf«n for the first fourteen nights is now open at tho Bristol.
