NEW THEATMENT DISCOVERED,

Berlin, September 13. Professor Erl&nger has discovered a treatment for manulae, or blindness caused by tissues covering the eyeball. The treatment consists in placing an electrode on the eye and another at the back of the head, and thereby- passing chloride 'ions iniiS the tissues of the eye. There is no pain and the. treatment takes •'two minutes, three times a week, for a period of several weeks. The discovery is specially valuable for victims of gas at tacks, especially those blinded by .German chlorine.—Router.
