KAMENEFF'S DEPARTURE FROM LONDON
DUE TO LITVINOFF'S DOUBLE
DEALING

Iho Evening Standard" states that lCameneff'a departure was due to double dealing on the part of Litvinoff, who throughout had done everything possible to render nugatory the activities of Russian delegutions m London. Litvinoff has been negotiating behind' the delegates backs with certain Labour organs and leaders, creating the impression that Kameneff was interesting himself in JBritwh Jabpur troubles. Ho was negotiatlnpr for i!he sale of Russian jewels. The ofter of .£75,000 to the' "Daily Herald" ia alleged to have beon engineered largely by Litvinoff, and the delegates were un-. aware of this till too late. MR. LLOYD GEORGE'S ACCUSATIONS
CATEGORICAL DENIAL BY KAMENEFF. (Rec, September 14, 7.20 p.m.) London, September 13. Itameneff, in a letter to Lieut.-Com-mander Kenworthy, M.P., categorically denies Mr. Lloyd George's accusations— (1) regarding the sale of the Russian Crown, jetf'els Jn England, (2) arranging for a Bolshevik subsidy to the "Daily Herald," (3) influencing Labour's Council of Action, (4) misleading Mr. Lloyd George regarding Russia's terms for an armistice witlh Poland. Kameneff adds: Mr. Lloyd George desires to break off peace negotiations with Russia, but lacking tho oourago to openly declare his change of policy, brings forward paltry accusations against the Soviet Government's' representative."—Aus.-N.Z.
