STRICT MAINTENANCE OP AMATEURISM ADVOCATED. Sydney, September 13. Mr. B. Hansen, vice-presiijent of the New South Wnles Rugby Union Referees' Association, and formerly a Wellington player and referee, advocates the strict maintenance of amateurism in Rugby. He suggests the adoption of a "pack" of seven to improve the gamo, and says he believes New Zealand would abolish the wing-forward if Australia reduced the size of the scrum .—Press Assn.
