Thero is nothing in connection with the infectious diseases' notifications for the Wellington, public health district for the past week thnt calls for any special comment. In all thirty cases wero reported for the week ended noon yesterday, as compared with 23 notifications for the previous week. Hospital districts which reported cases of infectious diseases during the past week were-.—Waipawa: Diphtheria, 2. Palmerston North: Diphtheria, 5; pneumonia. 3. Wellington: Diphtheria, 5; tuberculosis, 2; c.s. meningitis, 1; pneumonia. 2; varicella, 3; erysipelas, 1. Wairarapa: Scarlet, fever, 2; diphtheria, 1; pneumonia, 2. Nelson: Scarlet fever, 1. The following table gives details of the cases notified, the figures for thb previous week being also shown for the purposes of comparison:— Last Previous week. week.
