The Stoutly-Town Board, m the midst of the coalfield, is hard pressed to get suflicient fuel to keep the lighting services going. There is no change in the coal 6ituatian to-day. SHIPMENTS FROM AUSTRALIA. The Prime Minilster received cu Saturday a cablegram from the Australian Prime Minister reporting shipmemt, of coal for New Zealand. The message was as follows:— "Berthing officer advises Gambeta and Waipori left last night with coal for New Zealand. Saikai Maru and Gimju Maru expect leave to-day and Harunasau Maru to-morrow." All these steamers are bringing Newcastle coal to New Zealand. The Japanese 6-.|eamers mentioned are tramps, which have been engaged in view of the shortage of coal in this country. Two of the steamers are going to Auckland, two to Wellington, and one to Lyttelton.
