Advices from Huntly aro to the effect that many of the miners aro growing very discontented nt tile situation and that tho view ib gaining ground that the present strike is unwise, seeing that they have 110 quarrel with the employer?. As tho strike continues, the mjiqter becomes ever graver. The slocks ot coal are being depleted ami reserves aro dwindling rapidly.. None of tho local industries have yet been forced to suspend operations, but unless the shortagw of coal is relieved soon several will ha->o to closo until the miners resume. Itetuilers report that supples are very scanty and that they are able to fill urgent orders only and 011 a proportionate ecale.
