FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Prosont Indications are for variable winds with moderate to strong north-easter-lies to south-easterlloa predominating, and increasing in tlio north. Changeable weather expected generally, with scattered rain in tho northern and east coast districts. Tho barometer has a falling tendency in tho far north for a depre«sion is now apparently located north-west of the Dominion. A disturbance pasEed rapidly in tho south during Wednesday night, and Equally conditions and rain were experienced in many partß southward of New Plymouth and Caßtlepoint.
