POLES AND LITHUANIANS London, September S. The Poles admit that there is trouble with Lithuania. A communique issued at Warsaw on Saturday snj'B that Lithuanian detachments crossei tho frontier and attacked the Polish cavalry. Tho communique remains silent regarding tho outcome of the fighting.—Reuter.
NEW LINE OF DEMARCATION PROPOSED
. RESPONSIBILITY FOE HOSTILITIES. (Reo. September 7, 1.5 a.m.) London, September 6. The Supreme Council has informed the Lithuanians that it proposes a new line of demarcation nmning- through Margrabovo, Augnstovo and Ozzugzyn. It is understood tho Lithuanians place responsibility for the hostilities upon tho Poles, and contend that tho Lithuanians were compelled to defend them-, selves. On the other hand the Poles clnim that tho Lithuanians fired the first shot.—Renter.
NORMAL CONDITIONS AT DANZIG AMERICAN CRUISER WITHDRAWN. Washington, September i. The State Department announces that the cruiser Pittsburgh has been withdrawn from Danzig, because normal conditions have been restored.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
