TRANSFER OF LICENSES.
The Wellington Licensing Committee held its quarterly meeting at noou yesterday. Mr. W. G.Riddell.S.M.. presided, and there were present.—Messrs. Vi. .1. He'yer, J. Smith. C. W. Chilmau, ami F. Meadoworoft. . The chairman stated that the general conduct- of-.the hotels had been very satisfactory, lint permits for the making of alterations at several hotels would bo deferred pending the receipt of satisfactory reports from Inspector M Ilveney.
