AUCKLAND CLUB INCREASES STAKES. By Telegraph—Pr»n Apsociiitinn. Auckland, August 31. The Auckland Trotting Olub Committee has decided to give £21,000 in stakes during the coming season. Owing to the improvements at Alexandra Park being delayed, it was decided to abandon tho spring meeting and substitute a winter meeting in June next. At the summer meeting the Cup will be worth £2000 and two other leading handicaps £1000 each,' v:ilh no race worth less than £250. The Derby, 1922-23, has been raised to £1000.
