An inquest was held yesterday morning by Mr. W. G. Kiddell. S.M., into tho circumstances attending the death' of Margaret Mary Hayes, of Aro Street, whoso body was found on i3io rocks on Olviro Beach on Sunday Morning. Thi* evidenco showed that the woman had been suffering from bad health for some time. Sho left home- on Saturday ami was not seen again nnt l her body was found as described. The Coroner found that deceased committed suicide by drowning while suffering from mental depression.
