At a meeting held at Itaetihi tho following resolution was passed: "That this representative meeting of King Country timber workers and other work. «rs hcartilv endorse and support tho action of the New Zealand Labour Party in sending a cable to the Committee of Aoiiion, England, approving their timely and necessary action to prevent the outburst of another war. and believo, with Mr. J. R. dynes, Labour M.P., when he says that if the Government i» ■unable to prevent futuro wars rtlhe people .will do it for them."—Press Assn. The pineapplo industry of Hawaii has increased from 2000 cases of twenty-four cans each, to more than 5,000,000 cases, or 120,000,000 cans, yearly. During 1919 more than 140,000 teaohers or about one out of five in the Upited States, dropped out of the profession.
