MUNICIPAL BY-ELECTION
CHOOSING A LABOUR CANDIDATE. A special meeting of the Labour' Representation Committeo will be held at the Trades Hall to-morrow night for tho purposo of selecting a Labour candidate to contest the vacancy on the City Council caused by tho death of .Mr. George Frost. The by-election will take place on September 17. Mr. Dunbar Sloane has consented to ftllow himself to bo nominated for the vacancy on tho council. Mr. Sloane has served on tho Jdhnsonville Town Board, and was a candidate for Wellington Suburbs at tho last general Parliamentary elections. Mr. T. W. Hislop, an ex-Mavor of Wellington, is also mentioned as a possible candidate).
