SEA ENCROACHMENT AT HOKITIKA
Pr Teleerarh—Press Association. Hokitika, August 27. Last evening, following a northerly gale, the sea mode an encroachment near the north of llevell Street. One heavywave came over the bank, damaging back fences and flocding some residences, otherwise no damage was done. Conditions to-day am normal, except for a heavy sea running.
