A. O. Kaye, who holds a temporary grazing license over liot 1 Hall-Jones Settlement, applied to surrender hiß license and to obtain a new'one for the houße on the lot and the section of U acres surrounding it. It was resolved to accept a surrender of the license as from May 31, 1920, and to grant Mr. Kaye a weekly tenancy of the house', and the 15 acres surrounding it Li-om June 1, 1920, rental 10b. per -week. H. A. Sheil. of Mataroa applied* >or a year-to-year leaso of Section 8, Block X, ■ Eangataua Villake Settlement, containing 3 acres 2 roods 20 perches. It was resolved: to grant a year-to:year lease, subject to the usual'conditions,' at-a rental of £3 ,per annum. . Mcsf.rs. The Under-Secretary intimated that the Minister of Education had approved of the proposal to vest Education Reserve, section 184, Town of Palmci'Bton North, containing 4 acres, in the Palmcrr.ton North Borough Council, on condition that land of equal value is transferred to the Education Endowment Estate, and rcauested that arrangements be made to give the Borough Council possession-It-wae resolved to terminate the right 3 held, by Mr. Porteous aB from Augußt 1,1920. Sections 26 and 27, Pohangina Suburbs, 10 acres; Mrj. Martha Klink,-widowof late lessee, applied for a renewal of the fiveyear license over the above sections, which expires on December 31, 1920-granted at £20 per annum.
