—_ 4 _ The annual report of the St. James's Presbyterian Church, "Wellington S„ states that the communicants members number 380. , During the year 51 members were added, 21 by profession, 30 by certificate. The removal of members from the.district durinir the year -was exceptionally larscj •This fact alone -jvith other features of church life had made tho year especially strenuous for tho workers In tho congregation. . The removals from roll of membership had been by death 5, by transfer 62. and otherwise 12. The following details are also noted:— Adherents, 76; Bible-class members, 81: (Sunday school teachers, 30; Sunday school Bcholars, 264: cradle roll, 211. The total ! number of persons under pastoral care is over 1000. The gross revenue amounted to £973. A large proportion of this amount haß been raised for objects deserving help outside the regular work of the congregation. During the year baptisms numbered 41: and service was conducted by the minister (Rev. ■W. Shirer) at 37 funerals. Attention was also given to social service work.
