The Milner Commission will report in favour of recognition of the independ- , ence and sovereign status of Egypt, to . be embodied in a new Anglo-Egyptian . Treaty. Egypt will control its own . foreign relations, and appoint its own . diplomatic representatives. The army ; of occupation will be withdrawn within . a _ siipulated period, though ' Britain > will retain n small force to protect,the j Canal. British officials not absorbed . by the Egyptian Civil Service will be , withdrawn. Britain will guarantee the 3 security of Egypt against aggressors, 3 and Egypt will recogniso Britain's spei cial position in the Kilo Valley.—Aus.- : N.Z.
