GREATLY REDUCED BY SHORTER HOURS.
Sydney, August 18. Mr. Douglas, manager of the Newcastle Coal Company, giving evidence before a Select Committee of the House of Representatives, • said that owing to the shorter houre the output of coal had diminished by a million tons per annum. —Press Assn.
