Moslems to Afghanistan as a protest against the Turkish peace terms ie assuming alarming ■ proportions. About 20,000 have crossed the frontier. This is a result of- the preaching of Mullahs, who declare that Moslems remaining in India will become outcasts. Lying report's have also been spread that the holy places at Mecca and Medina, which are in the hands of the British, have been desecrated or destroyed. Many small landownere who sold everything in order to emigrate are starving at Khyber Pass. J ['any have returned to India with stories of illtreatment at the hands of Afghans. The constant influx is becoming so inconvenient that the Ameer of Afghanistan has ordered a stoppage of the move-ment-until further notice.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
