A :— CHAMPIONSHIP FIKAL TO-DAY. At Athletic Park to-day Pelone and Poneke will meet 'in the championship final. The Petone backs are a particularly fino combination, whilst the- Poncko forwards will have everything in their favour on a heavy ground. The curtainraißer will be Auckland University v. Tictorja University, and, should it bo necessary to put off this gnme owing to bad weather, it will be transferred to a reserve adjacent to the Park.
The "All Blacks" are to pla-v Wellington on Wednesday next. . The local team will be selected to-day.
