The Rhodes Scholarship Selection Cominitteo will meet: in Wellington on Friday next to select one of four candidates for the special war scholarship offered bv the Rhodes Trustees. The candidate from Canterbury College is S. P. M'Culluin, who has an excellent record both on the scholastic and on the athletic and social sides. He fought at Arnieu-. tieres. and at the first Battlo of thq Somme, where ho was seriously wounded while occupying an advanced post. He is at present a muster at • Chrislc.lmrch Boys' High School, and is president .of tho Canterbury College Students' Association.
