In the Arbitration Court, in refusing a union's application for tho variation of an award which was asked for on the grounds "that the men were threatening to strike unless, it was granted, "bridge Curlewis stated that in future any union which asked that its case should bo taken quickly on the ground that the men intenued to strike would have its case put at the bottom of the list. Other' wise tho cases of law-abiding unions would be delayed, nnd the way to get a quick hearing would be to threaten to strike.—Press Assn.
