At an early hbiir this morning an alarm of lire was given by the watchman «t Wairau Hospital, who had discovered an outbreak in tho roof of the laundry and engine-room, a large aud up-to-date new building. Tho cause of the fire is a mystery. The. insurances are £4500 in the Royal Exchange Office on the • buildings and plant, which were valued at £9000. DAIRY FACTORY DESTROYED. Woodville, August 12. About midnight the United Co-opera-tive Dairv Company's cheese factory, in M'Lean Street, was totally destroyed by fire. Tho insurances are: Building, £900; plant, £870j cheese-making material, £250; all in the Government State Fire Insurance. The loss above insurance'is £1500. Be Prepared.
