MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING. , The weekly meeting of the Wellington Hoeltey Association Management Committee was held last night, The Auckland Association accepted September 18 for the Wellington challengo for the Hockey: Shield, the match to bo played nt Auckland. The inter-ißland hockey match will bo ployed on thtf Basin Reserve on Saturday,, September 11. " It was decided to telegraph to the Now Zealand Council concerning the final arrangements for the inter-island game, also to write requesting an immediate reply. A letter was received from Mr. Kirk asking for assistance for schools' hockey. —It was decided to give all possible support. Messrs. lioyd and Anderson were appointed to take charge of tchools' hockey. A representative team will bo sent to Palmerston North. Fcilding, and Wangnmil, leaving on September 15. It will play Manawatu at Palmcrston on that date, Feilding on September 16, and xTVnnganui on September 18. . As representative trial matches will bo played on August 14 and 81, a slx-a-side tournament for seniors will be held on those dates. Entries lor the tournament will close on August 18.
