SURRENDER OF VILLA. Mexico City, August 10. Villa, surrounded by a band of faithful followers, has surrendered to the Government. He said he had capitulatod because further fighting would havo meant intervention by the United States in Mexico.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Washington, August 9. Tho Mexican Embassy has announced that troops have been dispatched to Lower California for a campaign to subduo a rebel governor. Fighting is expected in a week.
