Sir, —Mr. Holland's championship of Ireland puzzled mo until I read an- editorial in the "Maoriland Worker" for August i, page 2, column. 2, from which. I quote: "If Ireland succeeds in' achieving her' independence it means the break-up of tho Empire. That will bo a blessing to the world and an inspiration to the Cause of Labour." I didn't know that "Labour" wanted the break-up of the Empire. But if it docs, what follows? I am sure 35 per cent, of our population are anxious the Empire should not break up. I conclude, then, that "Labour," in. Mr. Holland's sense, means "red ruin and the breaking up of Jaws," and that decent workers, who waut, above all, order and plenty, will do well to shun these extremists.—l am, etc., FABIAN.
