HOCKEY ASSOCIATION

A meeting of the Wellington Hockey Association was held last night, Mr. Richards presidinE. Tho i'eilding Hockey Association wrote asking that a touring team should play a match at Feildlng. A similar request was forwarded by the Nelson Association. It was decided to hold both requests over until tho dato for the North v. South Island match had been fixed, and also the dates for tho shield fixture.

Tho request of the Victoria Club to play their annual fixture with tlio Auckland University Club at Feildlng on August 14 was granted. i Tho Wesley Club wrote aßking permission for a team from their club to visit Obristchurch to play a match thero on August 28. The request was granted.

Mr. Manning was appointed Wellington •elector for the North Island team.
