SHEEPOTORS AND ARMOURS
Sir-Referring to the statements made by Mr. G. L. Marshall at the final sitting of the Farmers' Union Conference that the petition to Parliament asking for a license for Armour and Co. was not supported'lby North Island sheepowners, if he would caTe to examine the petition for himself he will find a .considerable number of North Island signatures, appended. Of course, no organised effort was possible in this connection as lime would not allow this being done.—l am, etc., WM. H. NICHOLSON, Secretary. Christchurch, August 2, 1920.
